An Australian beauty pageant finalist has suffered nasty facial injuries days before she was due to go on an international shoot with her fellow finalists.

However, Murphy sustained serious facial injuries just two weeks before she was meant to fly to Vietnam for a swimwear shoot with photographer Jarrad Seng according to News.com.

Murphy posted a video on TikTok revealing a scabbed bruised face and fractured tooth after a fall on the netball court.

“I played netball and as I was mid-air catching the ball I was pushed and I had about point five of a second to turn around and brace myself,” she explains in the video.

“I just can’t believe this” Dr Murphy exclaims at the start of the video, adding that it was “the worst possible case scenario” apart from breaking bones that would prevent her from walking.

“I mean, if you don’t laugh, you cry – right?” she adds.

In a follow up video, the young Aussie explains that her GP expressed concerns about a facial fracture but thankfully a CT scan revealed that she was in the “all clear.” A dentist also confirmed that there was “no chance” of the tooth dying due to the fracture.

Murphy revealed that her healing treatments involved icing the wounds, using a repair balm, a face mask and a clincal LED mask.

Incredibly, after five days on healing all that was left were a couple of red patches on her skin.

On Wednesday, Dr Murphy shared on Instagram a picture of herself in Vietnam, wearing a halter-neck mini dress with no sign of any injuries on her face and followers were quick to flood the comments with support.

“On fire 🔥” one person commented.

“Love love love 😍” another wrote.
